Angela Brown is a lifelong leader, volunteer and advocate. Having enjoyed thirty-nine
years working in numerous management and administrative positions, Angela gives
back to her community through a variety of volunteer opportunities and programs. She
began her career as a supervisor in Shaw Residence Hall at Michigan State University.
Her dedication to the institution was illustrated through a number of promotions,
culminating in Director of Housing and Dining and finally retiring as Director of Auxiliary
Resources, Residential and Hospitality Services. During her tenure at Michigan State,
Angela was appointed to several university committees including the Wharton Center
for Performing Arts, WKAR Public Media and Athletic Advisory Committees.
Broadening her scope of volunteerism, Angela has served on the MSU Federal Credit
Union Board of Directors since 2007 and served as chair from 2019 to 2022. She
currently serves as Chair of the Desk Drawer Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the
Credit Union. Prior to joining the Board, she was a member of the Supervisory
Committee. A "double Spartan" alum, Angela has earned two degrees from Michigan
State - a bachelor's degree in social science/social work and an MBA in Management
from the Eli Broad school of Business. She is Treasurer and past President of the Zonta
Club of East Lansing Area and Vice President and past President of the MSU Retirees
Association.
