Is Insurance required for auto loans?

OU Credit Union requires full coverage insurance on any vehicle type that is being used as collateral for a loan. This coverage must protect against loss by fire, theft, or collision, as well as comprehensive coverage. Section five of the Security Agreement located in the Multi-Featured Loan Agreement and Security Agreement explains this requirement.
