International Credit Union Day

MSUFCU employees come together each year to celebrate International Credit Union Day and Credit Union Week to celebrate the positive impact credit unions make for their members, employees, and communities. International Credit Union Day is Thursday, October 20, 2022 but teams at MSUFCU celebrate all week to thank our employees for all they do to bring our mission to life each day, and support our members and communities in building dreams together.

Credit unions contribute to a brighter future by working to improve members' financial wellness. It is at the heart of the mission and structure of credit unions. The essence of this commitment is reflected in each institution's bylaws, their nonprofit structure, and the commitment of each organization to its community. It's something credit unions have been doing for more than 100 years.

MSUFCU was established 85 years ago to provide a safe place where members could borrow and save money. Over the years, we've built a strong foundation of relationships with our members - ultimately helping them achieve their dreams. Our employees live our mission every day to spark those moments for members to find financial freedom and security, as they purchase their first cars and homes, start their own businesses, and save for their children's futures.

At MSUFCU, we build, protect, and support an inclusive environment where all are welcome and all have an equal opportunity for success. From our early years when we operated out of a desk drawer on MSU's campus to now serving over 330,000 members worldwide, we have a longstanding history of being on the leading edge of social change. From volunteering at and donating to charitable organizations, to hosting free events to help teach individuals of all ages the importance of money management, we are dedicated to our core value of giving back to the communities we serve. This will continue to be at the heart of our organization and be highlighted on International Credit Union Day and in each interaction with our members.
